Review of Cult of the Cobra (1955) by Bruce B — 26 Mar 2011
A fun and effective piece of B-movie fifties sci-fi that features a woman who can transform into a snake. An interesting exploration of gender roles and the ethnic other that of course proves misogynistic and xenophobic but in a thoroughly enjoyable and cheesy fashion.
Cult of the Cobra proves to be a thoroughly enjoyable film for fans of 50s sci-fi/horror.
