Review of Crying Out Love in the Center of the World (2004) by Shawn C — 10 Jun 2007
Like so many Japanese films and TV series of the era, "Sekachu" is cut from the vein of Shakespearean tragedy; with star-crossed lovers finding only tragedy in love. While it does fall back on cliches at times, the true strength of the film lies in it's execution.
You'll rarely find a movie of this kind that can pull out your strongest emotions almost effortlessly. Highly recommended.
