Review of Cruel Intentions (1999) by Jake T — 16 Nov 2013
One of the best teen films of the 90's. Sarah Michelle Geller sheds her Buffy role for Kathryn, a young woman oozing with sexuality and manipulation knowing that her stepbrother. Sebastian lusts for her daily.
Ryan Philllipe matches well with his confidence as well as Reese Witherspoon as Annette revealing weakness and romance with Sebastian. However, with each frank word, each solid monologue, unexpected love story and likable characters makes this a delicious sultry tale too good for the CW or the WB (back in the day).
I love this film. Grade: A.
