Review of Crooked Arrows (2012) by John K — 05 Jun 2012
Absolutely outstanding. One of the best sports movies of all time! Sure, it follows the basic formula of any sports movie (David grows to slay Goliath), but this one incorporates the beauty, history, and cultural meaning of the greatest game.
There is a great deal of depth in the script that many sports films lack. The humor is not over done, and the pacing is excellent. Brandon Routh turns in his best performance as the reluctant Joe Logan.
His spiritual quest is the subject of the movie, and it flows from start to finish without a moment of implausibility. Now put down this review and go see Crooked Arrows!
