Review of Crazy (2000) by Joe H — 10 Aug 2007
Incredible. All movies should be made by either spanish or french speaking directors and writers. The point of view is much different, and much better. C.R.A.Z.Y. is the story of a french family who have five sons.
each individual. Nerd, Rebel, Jock, and sexually confused akward child (plus a baby that has no real part in the movie). The actors who play the roles of the parents do great jobs and the actors playing the children find each role and make it real.
It takes place throughout the 60's 70's and 80's. Now I know why I like it. Lighting cigarettes off of a birthday. priceless. everything ends in tradegy when the eldest brother The rebel starts abusing drugs ending in a heartbreaking overdose which unites the family.
one of the best movies ive seen lately that had a lasting effect on me. Very stylish, and pleasing for the eyes. a great film overall.
