Review of Count Dracula (1970) by Bill M — 02 Jun 2008
I think it's really funny that the most faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel would be someone like Jess Franco. There are no overtly sleazy scenes, no Mina and Lucy making out, and he is surprisingly faithful to the book.
There are a few minor differences, but seems to be the closest that I've seen. I know Christopher Lee always wanted to do a faithful adaptation of the story and I know he liked this version better than his Hammer film versions of Dracula.
