Review of Con Air (1997) by Jenny Z — 14 Sep 2012
I'm sorry but this should not be rotten... This is a Cage classic. It should also be a staple for any 90s action fan. Here we have the all-stars of the character-actor world. Steve Buscemi is the crazy guy. Ving Rhames is the hardcore black guy. Danny Trejo is the hardcore Mexican guy. Dave Chapelle is the smack-talking black guy. While this is predictable, I don't think it detracts from the movie. And that is because Malkovich, Cage and Cusack are the main guys here - and they all tally up entertaining performances. The action scenes are great, the pace is fast, the concept is original and weird. I would happily watch this over and over again.
Why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box?
