As one audience reviewer pointed out, the actors in 2013 would not know what went on in WWII. Unfortunately the Director, script writer and anyone else associated with this mess were equally clueless. It is so ludicrously far fetched as to be beyond laughable.
The German officers are so Hollywood stereotypical that I'm astounded they were not all wearing monocles. Apparently the Germans soldiers were so completely unfamiliar with their weapons that fifty of them at a time could not shoot straight enough to kill a handful of the film's heroes.
There is much more to guffaw at so my advice would be to invite a few friends over, have a few drinks, sit back and laugh your buttocks off.
