Review of Columbus (2017) by Jeremiah C — 06 Sep 2017
Columbus tells the story of A Korean-born man who finds himself stuck in Columbus, Indiana, where his architect father is in a coma. Though, the man meets a young woman who wants to stay in Columbus with her mother, a recovering addict, instead of pursuing her own dreams.
Overall, Columbus is one of the best independent films you'll see. With Kogonada in his impressive feature debut, he applies the principles of these architects to the compositions and structure of the film. It is a tour de force film, that is a must-see hidden gem.
