Review of Coffin Rock (2009) by Aylin K — 19 Dec 2009
Coffin Rock is a psychological thriller set in Australia. This dreary landscape is a excellent choice for the somber and disturbing movie that it soon wraps you up in.
Jessie and Tony a married couple are trying to conceive a child are having trouble due to fertility problems. During a drunken binge Jessie has sex with a co-worker and her life begins to spin out of control. The co-worker turns out to be a psychopath and stalks her while trying to remove anyone standing between them when he comes to believe she is pregnant with his child. Then Jessie must do everything in her power to get her life back and stay alive.
Although this has been told in many ways before this was a nice take on an old story. I have seen so many better thrillers in my day and get board with them easily but this was a good watch. It starts out slow but wraps up nicely. Not bad if I say so myself.
