Review of Cocaine Cowboys 2 (2008) by Bruno L — 08 Sep 2010
The sequel examines the players themselves. At the center is Griselda Blanco, who makes Scarface look like Mother Teresa. I cannot believe that she even managed to kidnap Kennedy's son to get out of jail.
The sequel humanizes Griselda and you come to understand how alone and desperate she was. At the end of the day, all she had was power, money, and drugs and it wasnt enough. In the end you realize that the people prosecuting Griselda are just as corrupt as she is.
The story is told by Charles Cosby, one of Griselda's boyfriends. He describes how he met the Godmother, sold crack in California, became rich and at the same time was controlled by that woman.
