Review of Close Range (2015) by Late R — 13 Aug 2016
Scott Adkins is one badass mofo in this small budget indi film. He's making a case for himself with each movie as to why he should have been cast as BATMAN over Ben Afflack. He's just one badass martial artist, and his acting in this movie doesn't show the actual acting range he might have but he's more than serviceable as an actor.
The movie is a pretty direct action film with most of it taking place in a house. Which I love these sorts of films as they really are a throw back to the 80's, and 90's action flicks. Before the scope of every action movie became extremely large.
He does a fantastic job showcasing his martial arts skills, and at no point am I thrown off by his acting as he was very good in all aspects. I liked this film a lot, and hope Scott Adkins gets bigger roles in the future as I truly think he's the real deal.
