Review of Citizenfour (2014) by Daniel P — 04 Feb 2015
This documentary was outstanding, and one of the best uses of cinéma vérité I've ever seen. Even though you know the outcome, it was suspenseful, riveting, and totally engrossing, a thriller easily as good as anything that John le Carré, Robert Ludlum, or Tom Clancy ever concocted.
I really hope Laura Poitras wins the Oscar for this timely and necessary film.
