Review of Chicago (2002) by Russell G — 11 Dec 2011
This is likely the best musical I have seen. Chicago is a good Broadway musical but the movie is actually even better (nearly impossible to do)! The cast is so talented and well suited for their roles.
Rene Zelleweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones deliver the performance of their careers and did an amazing job with their singing, dancing and acting. The music is great and the visuals were a perfect artistic complement that enhance the songs and immerse the viewer in the 1920s Chicago setting or into Roxyâ(TM)s imagination.
This movie is so easy to love; it captures the all the fun and visual spectacle of the play and has a perfect multitalented cast.
