Review of Charade (1963) by Stephen C — 16 Apr 2010
Simply Timeless comedy Thriller from Stanley Donen who manages to even outdo Hitchcock in certain parts.
Grant and Hepburn make a wonderful pairing and the Villians including George Kennedy with a metal arm make the film an entertaning way to spend an afternoon.
Some aaccuse the film of being too light and fluffy but I think it happens to be one of Hepburns best films and one that is always worth one or two viewings to sample all the delights on offer .
Ignore Jonathan Demmes flat remake this really is the kind of film that rarely gets made these days.
