Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by Aninha S — 18 Apr 2010
The best British film since, well forever. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant writing/directing feature debut is an uplifting, frothy, charming rom-dram-com. The three male leads have a great chemistry and are all likeable in different ways.
The support cast is absolutely superb - Dullard from 'Extras', Ralph Fiennes and Emma Watson could all win Best Supporting Oscars and even Ricky acquits himself well as the protaganist's dad.
Great script with a real message for the young. Such a refreshing change from the usual dour British films. The directing is first-rate too, something the boys deserve extra credit for.
