Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by Kristopher P — 18 Apr 2010
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have been legends to me since I discovered The Office. I never imagined they could make a film as good as this, but they did. It really looks the part and coming from someone who was unable to engage himself in the generation of the 1970's simply because he wasn't born by that time, I still felt as though it had authentic scenery and recognizable looks.
The acting was brilliant great cast including Ralph Fiennes, Matthew Goode and Emily Watson as well as cameos from Merchant and Gervais and the sneaky baldness of the unique Karl Pilkington. It serves as a warm, great coming-of-age drama rather than a nostalgic comedy.
