Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by Chris D — 08 May 2012

I am very surprised to see the medium to low rating here. I loved this movie. It has subtle qualitiies that drew me in and intense undertones and tensions that kept my interest. I really felt a connection with the characters and their dilemas.

The humour was silly and natural and appropriate to the entire mood and direction of the film. Many of the scenes were powerful in a quiet understated way and the music was perfect for each scene. So many good things about this film made it come together in a way that by the end I as saying it was one of the best films I have seen.

I don't say this often. I am not easy. This film is better than the credit it is getting here. I dare you to give it a chance and I hope you see what I see. You may be surprised.
