Review of Captain EO (1986) by James S — 23 May 2013
The film contains a pretty good music, a mix between Star Wars and Alien, Michael Jackson dance always great, but it does not look the actor. The story is heartbreaking as we would have preferred a concrete history and original and does not fall into absurdities.
The 3D is just a few scenes, sensations are not very surprising, action scenes and the characters are too similar to Star Wars as George Lucas wrote the script and put his personal touch. Francis Ford Coppola has not shown his talent in his short film, despite its success.
