Review of Capsule (2016) by Douglas M — 02 Jan 2017

This was a good film to watch on a quiet evening, I am surprised to see that it has received such little attention from critics.

The old style engineering and design of the capsule made it very tense and claustrophobic, the problems seemed realistic and very frightening to a character who wasnt trained to control them under the assumption that they would work fine. Unlike with gravity, the presence of a single on screen character wasn't boring, the other voices heard over the radio (or wire as our 1950's friend likes to call it) keep the story going in a good way, only character that has poor dialogue would be the conversations guy (our astronaut in the capsule) remembered having with lottie (his wife).

I like this a lot and would recommend it to most movie goers but with the warning that it hasnt got any where this the exciting momentum of something like interstellar or gravity, and doesnt have the humour or wit of the martian, but it does have something inbetween.
