Review of Capone (2020) by Kirkender — 13 May 2020
Tom Hardy gives an excellent performance. Mobster movies post Sopranos/Irishman/Killing Me Softly are tricky because what we want to see is mobsters being mobsters with all the dirty details. But now we are given slow, contemplative, "CINEMA" that begs you really consider how they feel.
Screw that. I want my mobsters nasty and I want to hate them. The movie is fine, but not entertaining. Watch it or don't, no one cares.
