Fantastic film. Melissa McCarthy walks the line of unlikable curmudgeon and sympathetic loser perfectly, so you really feel for her failures, and her losses. It seems like she's at a point in her life where only loss remains, but she brilliantly sidesteps that, with caustic wit.
Richard (always with an E) Grant chews scenery marvelously, making you forget everyone else in the movie EXCEPT Melissa McCarthy, who balances his flamboyance perfectly. Such a wonderful harmony of strong personalities in an entertaining romp deserves highest marks.
