Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Melanie B — 11 Apr 2018
Beautiful, melancholyc portrayal of a first love, which sweeps you away to an italian summer. I love that the main focus was about two people falling in love, rather than 2 men spending an unique romantic time together.
I don't want to take away the obstacles gay people used to face and still face within family and society. But the movie isn't about that. Timothee Chalamet is the perfect cast for playing a meloncholic, gifted young man going through this experience.
