Review of California Split (1974) by Chris W — 16 Jun 2007
This movie is classic Altman-- engaging, funny dialogue with a cast of odd but realistic characters. VERY funny, especially George Segal's faces! Elliot Gould plays an excitable, in-your-face kind of character, but unlike Vince Vaughn in Swingers, you don't want to punch him.
This movie is very hard to describe-- you're rooting for the two of them, and there are so many background things going on that are so enjoyable. Basically, see it.
