Claire Simmons is a rich bitch dealing with the tragic death of her child after a car crash, plus her own long-term injuries, through drink, drugs and passionless sex. After her support group kicks her out following some acerbic comments about a member who committed suicide, she begins to have visions of said member and becomes obsessed with her death and the grieving family she left behind.

Jennifer Aniston is simply fantastic in the lead role of a woman in the depths of pain and grief. This is a black comedy/drama that shows off her undeniable acting capabilities. The script could have delved a little more into Claire's darkness, but the paddle is enough to make this an immensely watchable film. Even Sam Worthington shows talent, so I am throwing the director, Daniel Barnz.

His dues. A pretty stellar support ensemble throughout, but it is Adriana Barraza as her put upon housekeeper/carer, Silvana, who shines.

Very good film.
