Review of Cairo Time (2009) by Shaleem H — 11 Oct 2009
Saw a special screening on Saturday night with Ruba Nadda (very modest and friendly woman) doing a Q and A with Fadia Nada one of the actresses. Beautiful movie, although at times a bit slow moving. A simple love story, but one which opens our eyes to a different viewpoint, and another culture in Cairo - one we rarely see.
Alexander Siddig was excellent - a huge departure from Deep Space 9 role. Patricia Clarkson, as the main female role was also excellent. Well done. A bit disturbed by the portrayal of the Israeli army, but the intent was to show the interaction from the perspective of the Arab passengers.
