Review of Café Lumière (2004) by Maya S — 29 May 2008
A fitting tribute to Ozu. A painfully slow (yet interesting) film about a woman who deals with being pregnant and wanting to keep the baby despite her parents protests. Her relationship with a bookstore worker (Asano) and her endless journeys on trains.
Its like watching poetry.
