Review of Byzantium (2013) by Roman R — 08 Aug 2013
Darkly haunting, slow moving, engrossing vampire story that moves through the ages seamlessly. the agony of Eleanor's life stuck in time, the love of her vampire mother Clara, and the kindness of Darvell, their unintentional creator, all converge to a satisfying denouement that leaves us breathless and wanting more.
beautiful cinematography abounds in this film, and you do not want to miss every scenic shot taken by director Neil Jordan. the power of this film lies in Jordan's talent in blending cinematography and haunting music to create a story both pleasing yet tragic.
