Review of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (2007) by Doron Z — 15 Feb 2009

I watched this film a little while ago. It tells the story of the Lakota Sioux conflict with the American army. Having visited South Dakota and the black hills a little while ago, and in particular the site of the massacre at Wounded Knee, I felt drawn to see this movie.

There is no doubt in my mind that the American government and army mistreated the native Americans. Seeing how they live today in the Pine Ridge reservation, the poverty makes me sad.
