Review of Burning Palms (2010) by Russ F — 28 May 2011
A hard film to recommend, but it IS well done. It's darkly funny, sometimes outright absurd, and then melancholy to the point where you just feel terrible... still, a lot can be said for a film that accomplishes this.
Also, the performances in [almost] every story is terrific. Not for the mainstream, but if the synopsis intrigues you, and are a fan of stuff like "Creepshow," "Tales From the Crypt," or even "Pulp Fiction," maybe you should check it out.
Why Pulp Fiction? Because regardless of the unlikeable characters, they were wildly entertaining, and for a dark film, it had a lot of laughs.
