Review of Burke & Hare (2010) by Will L — 02 Apr 2014
If you can get past the dark moral implications of making light and humour from a real-life mass-murder, then you can start to appreciate that this film does a somewhat disturbingly good job of creating sympathy for the villains and dislike for just about everyone else.
Take it for an enjoyable, atmospheric romp with an all-star cast and join the director in marveling that this fantastically ridiculous tale is based on a true story and you will enjoy it for what it is and not be caught up in the wrong expectations of other critics.
