Review of Buffalo '66 (1998) by Mark G — 23 May 2009
When people watch a film like this, they will see Vincent Gallo in one of two lights. "The man is pretentious" or "The man is creative". I view him as the latter of the two. This film is a shining example of how life can always cater for your mind, even if it is lovingly twisted.
The casting for this film is superb, particularly the arkward chemistry between Gallo & Ricci. The musical scenes fit well into the mix, providing a relief from a moving and dark storyline. If you're still not sure, I'd still watch it, as you might be pleasantly surprised.
Besides, how many films can open with scenes purely about one mans desire to find a bathroom?
