Review of Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001) by Steven F — 03 Jul 2008
So I've only watched a number of foreign films with subtitles. In 2001 Brotherhood of the Wolf came to theaters in the United States and the theater I went had it in French with English Subs. I was pissed when the movie started, but a little time went into the movie (not to mention the awsome opening scene) and I started to love the movie.
The setting was during the French Civil War in the 1700s and the story was of a "wearwolf" that murdered a large number of people. There was Kung-Fu, Sorcery, Hookers, and Wearwolf Hunting. If anyone is still in doubt that this is probably the greatest foriegn film ever made then let me tell you that Mark Dacascos (Double Dragon's Jimmie Lee) kicks some ass in this movie.
