Review of Brooklyn Rules (2007) by Dave P — 16 Sep 2007
It's tough to make a movie within the childhood-friend-NYC-mafia genre. It's been done to death. Prinze Jr. was more passable than I thought he'd be, Scott Caan delivered and Ferrara did a decent job as well.
Baldwin plays a great meanie on the rare occasions he chooses to and Caesar is no exception. The "best man" theme, and the way it plays out towards the end is a unique plot element in a thick fog of cliches and saved the movie for me.
