Review of Brainscan (1994) by Lloyd D — 04 Jan 2011
An interesting mixture of VR and horror when a teenager who lost his parents in a car crash gets a new computer game that encourages the player to think like a serial killer. When he finds out the murders are for real he tries to cover one crime yet making things worse.
The acting is brill by all with Furlong going from strength to strength proving he is great at different roles. Trickster is def way more interesting then Freddy Kruger and Smith gets some great lines with his role.
The effects are not as gory as usual but there's some decent CGI effects. My only gripe is Langella is a tad wooden in his cop role and the ending screams sequel but its def worth seeing.
