I traded 98 minutes of my life to become familiar with a musical legend who has scored Starbucks everywhere for the last...20(?) years. Well worth it. While Born To Be Blue doesn't stray from the musician-biopic tropes, it's a great acting showcase for Ethan Hawke and his co-stars, and so is certainly time well spent.
