Review of Boogie Nights (1997) by Alvaro V — 15 Sep 2013
A wonderful movie which is about the sex industry and it's evolution in the late 1970's but oddly enough it is not necessarily about sex despite all the banging! The story is about the intrinsic elements of a very lucrative industry and how human feelings and emotions fit in.
Burt Reynolds' cool demeanor (as was his role) is the temperament of the story. If you can look beyond the stigma and your own preconceptions of this movie and the sex industry you will certainly appreciate the story.
