Review of Blue Spring (2001) by Sarah F — 27 Jun 2006
It might be because the majority of movies I watch are japanese, but I'm finding it increasingly hard to get into them. They all seem to meld into one mediocre movie about how the youth is rebelling.
Seriously, that theme has been used to death. This movie wasn't so bad, it just didn't stand out next t othe million movies that come out in Japan about the exact same subject. It was nicely shot and had a few memorable scenes and Ryuhei Matsuda is pretty hot.
It gets a non-commital meh from me. Memorable scene: The handrail game on top of the roof.
