Review of Blue Like Jazz (2012) by Chris S — 14 Apr 2012
Finally, a film that gives an intelligent voice to the post-evangelical experience. It handles faith and skepticism with equal sincerity but isn't afraid to make the audience laugh. It is simultaneously irreverent and respectful. The production values are high, the dialogue rings true and the actors own their roles in such a way that you feel like you know their characters personally.
If you're on the fence about seeing this film, do yourself a favor: ignore the cynics on the Tomatometer and go see it now!
