Review of Blue Jasmine (2013) by John H — 07 Mar 2014
The whole film revolves around Blanchett's amazing performance. She nailed the film and Allen's wonderful directing skills made sure her performance was captured very well. In the film, there are scenes where I felt too uncomfortable to watch but it only made me more fascinated by Blanchett's acting.
The ending is beautiful and sad. I found myself rooting for Jasmine the entire time. I was rooting for her to get back to her feet. I was emotionally ingrained throughout the film. My favorite technical aspect of the film is the wonderful color scheme you'll see every frame of the film.
It felt luxurious and warm.
