Review of Blood and Black Lace (1964) by Jon N — 30 May 2007
Not as morbid as the cover might suggest, but a black comedy where everyone gets what they deserve in the end. Tremendously entertaining, much better than the later American rip-offs such as Scream. Bava is arguably the greatest unsung hero of modern cinema.
Thanks to DVD, his work is finally getting the recognition it deserves, but which the modest maestro never craved.
