Review of Blondie Goes Latin (1941) by William W — 04 Apr 2012
Of all the genres that the Blondie series delved into (they went Horror and suspense and Film Noir) I NEVER thought they would bust a move and do a musical. The plot works, and so do Arthur Lake (who knew he was so good of a drummer?!?) and Penny Singleton (who knew she could sing?) Heck, even Baby Dumpling with scare girl friend (and even scarier looking doll) get into the act.
Everyone looks to be having a fucking ball doing this, and really, it's hard not to be swept away in this. One of the best in the series!
