Review of Black Snake Moan (2006) by Molly S — 01 Mar 2010

So this is a strange movie, I guess, to love, but I really do love it. The story is just unique and interesting and plain weird. I love the acting in this movie. I love how gritty, strange, and screwy it is.

I love everything about this movie, mainly the story and the screwy moral (if you could call it a moral), but mostly I loved what it said about love and life. The characters reflected a lot of my own life (in essence).

I understood how timberlake and ricci 'needed' eachother, because it is not unlike me and my husband now (except not in the screwed up way). The way love is portrayed in this movie is fantastic.

This movie struck a chord in my heart, and will remain there.
