This Hong Kong movie, made in 1996, is part of an evolutionary tree that led to the recent crop of Hollywood kung fu sci fi comic book crossovers such as The Matrix and Batman. Unfortunately, the US DVD does not have the original Cantonese language track, only a cheesy English dub.
Jet Li goes up against some scary dudes on warehouse catwalks, and even his comic relief romantic interest gets to wear stylish sunglasses.
