Review of Black Death (2010) by Ian M — 13 Apr 2011
A really interesting gothic horror. The film addresses the cultural clashes of the period that the bubonic plague ravaged Europe through the exploits of a band of christian crusaders sent to investigate a village rumoured to have avoided the plague.
The film focuses on religious paranoia, but also shows hints of the social, and economic effects through a well crafted plot with totally realized acting.
