Review of Bitch Slap (2009) by Emily G — 31 Dec 2010
In short: it is as if (1) robert rodriguez had a love child with the quentin tarantino time-warp (2) that child grew up on the set of a high production lesbian porn shoot where (3) she met the kids who grew up on the sets of 300, the Speed Racer movie, and Guy Ritchie, (4) they all watched that dyke-y rollerball movie directed by Drew Barrymore and hated it (5) and coped with their disappointment in Ellen Page by moving to Nevada (6) where they all did a bunch of cocaine, watched kitschy campy movies from the 1970's and thought up this movie....
Which rocks.
If you like titties, the self-mocking absurdity of hyper-referential ironic postmodern film, fight scenes, unrealistic gore, the illusion of high-production value, metal music, explosions, and the best opening and closing credit scenes of all time, watch this movie.
