Review of Big Bear (2017) by Jonalves1173 — 01 Oct 2017
Actor turned writer and director, Joey Kern takes his first big budget film Big Bear and portrays the humor and heartache of a breakup and pushes it further by bringing a kidnapping into it. Joey Kern writes a tale, with him as the bachelor, and brings the forefront of all of the emotions that anyone in that situation would go through – anger, loss, sadness.
He keeps the story from being generic by adding the kidnapping of Dude (Pablo Schreiber) and this adds a sense of tension and comedy to the situation and brings a fresh spin to a trite genre of buddy films.
