It's starts on familiar ground (Arachnophobia) but once Big Ass Spider rampages on LA, film references increase the fun. Grundberg is low key, funny; Clare Kramer is a good love interest, strong not a bimbo.
Lombardo Boyar and Ray Wise weren't One dimensional characters. I loved it!
