Yes, it's about pro wrestling, but damned if this isn't an amazing doc. Why? Because it's not about the idiocy of the event itself but an exploration of what drives people to go out and participate in it every night.
It's downright fascinating, and in some cases even a bit heart breaking. I'd suggest seeing this after seeing the Wrestler, though, because it turns out whoever wrote that movie swiped almost every beat from the true and tragic story of Jake "The Snake " Roberts.
