Review of Best Worst Movie (2009) by Robert I — 22 Jan 2013
I once said the best documentaries are about movies. Docs like this prove my statement. This doc is different from most others I've seen. It begins on a high with George Hardy touring with the movie, but then gets sadder and sadder as he tries to bring that rock n' roll status to his home life and seek out other actors from the film.
What happened to the mother from "Troll 2" is just uncomfortable and sad. I'd lower the rating because the movie spends no time with Deborah Reed who is featured in a panel at the end of the movie (Why did they ignore her!?!?), but this is such a good documentary it isn't that hurt by not interviewing one more person.
And who knew the director of "Troll 2" was such an @$$hat?
